Raise
Raise the bow with the arrow aligned parallel with the ground. Ensure your hands are just above the shoulders and ensure you maintain the alignment of your hands as set previously when hooking up the bow and settling your grip.
Ensure you engage the target by placing the aiming point on the middle of the target.
Drawing the Bow
You draw and hold the bow with your stronger back muscles and align the bow with the weaker arm and shoulder muscles.

Ensure that you compensate for the draw cycle of the bow, slowing down as you go into the valley and into the back wall of the bow. Hitting the back wall hard can sometimes dislodge the arrow from a blade rest.
Ensure you build pressure at this stage, prior to anchoring.
